This is the truth for me. My fourth grader this year was explaining to me her math problems. I told her, "that isn't how I learned it when I was your age".
I have had a nice Mother's Day. This morning I woke up to the sound of my seven year old making me a breakfast tray. She brought in a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk. I got some fun gifts too. Each of my girls made a gift at school for me, then I got some new portraits of each of my kids, taken at the park by my husband, then I got three rose bushes and a picnic table.
I am very excited for the picnic table too. I love having picnics, so the table will be well used.
This afternoon I took my three kids and two neighbor kids to the park. While we were getting ready to leave I met a family that was visiting and making their way to Yellowstone. They had come all the way from Australia. I had fun visiting with them. Not every day, here in the middle of no where, I would meet people from Australia. I enjoyed visiting with them. Such an odd place for travelers to be, but they were having fun. I loved listening to them talk with their accent and wondered if I would have an accent too. Anyway, I will end the day with just relaxing and doing some embroidery work on the pillowcase I'm making.
Happy Mother's Day!!
